Animal Facts:

Megalograptus was a fearsome sea scorpion from the Late Ordovician period (453–445 million years ago). This aquatic predator could grow up to 78 cm (2 ft 7 in) and roamed near-shore marine environments in what is now North America. Equipped with massive, spiny claws and a unique grasping tail structure, it was a master at capturing prey—and possibly even practiced cannibalism! Its bristle-covered body and inferred dark brown and black coloration made it a striking creature of its time, perfectly suited for its role as an apex predator in ancient seas.
