Hallucigenia: La Maravilla Espinosa de los Mares Cámbricos

Adéntrese en el mundo surrealista del período Cámbrico con Alucigenia, una extraña criatura que vivió hace más de 500 millones de años. Este diminuto animal, parecido a un gusano, que medía hasta 5,5 cm, lucía... siete pares de armadura con púas en su espalda y diez pares de patas con garras para caminar. Su cabeza, inicialmente confundida con su cola, tenía una boca simple con dientes y posiblemente un par de ojos.

Llamada así por su apariencia "onírica" y desconcertante, Hallucigenia fue inicialmente reconstruida al revés. Hoy en día, se la reconoce como un pariente lejano de los gusanos de terciopelo y los artrópodos. Con su peculiar diseño, Hallucigenia demuestra que la vida prehistórica era tan extraña como fascinante.
