Madagascar Tomato Frog Plush – Squishy, Cuddly Stuffed Animal for Nature Lovers

Say hello to Dyscophus antongilii, more famously known as the Madagascar Tomato Frog! This adorable, chubby amphibian is named for its striking red-orange hue, much like a ripe tomato. Native to Madagascar, these unique frogs thrive in shallow pools, swamps, and other humid spots.

Here’s the fun part—their bright color isn’t just for looks. It’s a built-in warning system for predators! When danger strikes, the tomato frog secretes a sticky, toxic goo from its skin, acting like glue to deter threats (like snakes). And in a bold show of self-defense, they puff themselves up to appear larger—talk about confidence!

Females are proud giants compared to the males, growing up to 10.5 cm (roughly the size of a small orange!) and weighing as much as 230 grams. They're also super productive parents, laying over 1,000 eggs in one go!
